Our commitment
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and to move toward Level AAA where practical. We treat accessibility as a shared responsibility across editorial, design, and engineering.
Measures we take
Semantic HTML that reflects reading order. Keyboard-navigable interactive elements with visible focus states. Alt text on meaningful images and captions on figures. Colour contrast tested against WCAG thresholds. Text that resizes to 200% without loss of function. Skip links on long pages. ARIA attributes only where native HTML is insufficient.
Assistive technology support
The site is regularly tested with VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, NVDA on Windows, and keyboard-only navigation. We test at browser zoom levels up to 200% and with reduced-motion preferences enabled.
Content practices
Editors write with plain language where possible, define specialist terms, provide transcripts or summaries for audio and video content, and structure articles with clear headings so that screen-reader users can navigate by landmark.
Known limitations
Some third-party embeds (certain advertising creatives, mapping widgets, historical media) may not fully meet our standards. Where a critical function is inaccessible, we provide a text-only alternative or a direct contact route so no reader is blocked from information they need.
How to report an issue
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please email accessibility@ist-world.com with the page URL, the assistive technology and browser you are using, and a brief description of the issue. We aim to acknowledge reports within two business days and to address them within 10 business days.
Formal complaints
If a report is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may escalate in writing to IST World LLC, 2412 W Loop 340 Ste C4, Waco, TX 76711. Complaints are reviewed by our managing editor and by a technical lead who is not the person who wrote the original code.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is never finished. We review the site with each major redesign and audit a sample of high-traffic pages every quarter.
